Son of Stonehenge

Hey, this is the son of Stonehenge, Colin Stone, I think it is great that all of you are still fans of the band, and it's nice to see that the band is still going strong, maybe I will get a chance to come and see them again.
Thanks.

My brother and I thank everyone for remembering my father;
memories such as these keep his influence on us all alive though
he is no longer here. The Cryan Shames was an integral part of
his life, he spoke of it often and remembered those times fondly.
Music was such a big part of his life, and he never forgot the
wonderful thing that went on so many years ago. So, for him, we
thank everyone for their friendship, compassion, and gift of
music; for us, thank you for your thoughts and prayers.
Goodnight all.

well...the emails have been comin' in, and i want to take a
moment here to thank each and every person who braved the
cold and stayed late to catch both the shames and my band. this
is a new chapter in my life, and while i find externalizing my
interior life to be more than a bit uncomfortable, the warm
reception of the rory's crowd made the whole thing truly fun.
along with (drummer) casey dean and (bassist) gregg voorhees i'd
like to thank (in particular)...
jchooke
barb and pat malott
marlene, gloria, and al
each of the scramble guys (and congratulations to the rutters)
robb(and the rest at rory's)
paul barille
dave huizenga (of bill kurtis prod.)
steve
jeff cloutier and frank pappalardo
and many, many more...
cd orders from the gig are still being filled, and over the next
month, a final tally will yield a check, along with some wonderful
photos and a few anecdotes as a package to england.
feel free to email me at jamesfairs@yahoo.com
and thanks again..................james

i look forward to seeing everyone, as well as introducing my band (called,
coincidently , 'the james band') at rory's on friday, feb. 16th. we play a
style of music which has been referred to as 'futuristic techno-blues', and
i hope you all enjoy hearing it as much as we enjoy making it every note i will ever play will carry with it the spirit of my dear friend and
brother, isaac guillory. the gifts he gave me over the course of our long
and special friendship are best honored by the echoes of a soaring spirit.
he is so very profoundly missed...
i'll be selling a cd sampler of the band's material, and the proceeds will go
to whatever fund victoria guillory may have established for their children.
i'd like to take this opportunity to thank brother hooke for the invitation
to play, and for his efforts towards a fundraiser for isaac's
kids.........................................................................................this
having been said, let's rock the joint!...james

Though the Shames fest season is over until next summer, the
rhythm section, aka Scramble, continues to play out whenever
possible. Paul, Rocky, Tim, Jeff and myself all have various other
gigs going throughout the year and the occasional club date still
comes around. Such is the case later this December when
Scramble plays 2 fun suburban clubs just before the Christmas
Holiday. Along with the finest keyboard player alive, Dave Rice,
pounding on his organ you can catch Scramble December 22nd at
the Aurora Snuggery on New York Street about 1 block east of
the Hollywood Riverboat Casino. Then on the following night,
December 23rd, you can see us again in Warrenville at The
Avalanche Sports Bar next to the Dairy Queen on Rt. 59 about 2
miles north of the East-West Tollway (I-88). Show time should be
around 9:00 for both venues. We always have a fantastic time at
Scramble shows so if you think the Shames are fun ... just wait
until you see Jeff Rutter naked!

as
regards the toada response. of course we all are
susceptible to typos...even the great el toada. i have
always found it somewhat depressing that, as tod
mentions, the universe is held together by morons, but
this truth is repeatedly born out by daily life
experiences. i won't address the quirks he mentions,
as i've grown tired of him pickin' on me...
